These titles put a spotlight on Hispanic children and their families. They come leveled because we want students to be able to choose titles for themselves, and read them immediately. From our lead curator, Marie:
I want to promote a culturally responsive classroom where Hispanic students can see themselves across many books. From the everyday community outings to specific immigrant stories, these books capture many experiences students can relate to. I also like to think that non-Hispanic students will get a window into Hispanic culture.
