To the beach, to the mountains, to the town, to another city in a foreign country... Gatito's friends already have plans for the summer. They talk amongst themselves about what their long-awaited vacation will be like; only Gatito seems to be unclear about what he is going to do when school is over. The story of Gatito y las vacaciones shows that there are diverse social circumstances, as well as different family models. Some parents cannot accompany their children for work reasons; in other cases it is the grandparents who help to reconcile; and there is no shortage of those who divide the summer season between the father and the mother. For Gatito's family, on the other hand, going on a trip to an attractive place is not the most important thing.
