Deep Discussions on Connecting with Nature

Nature helps us decompress, take a step back and see things with a different perspective. Nature also helps us empathize with the world around us. I was tickled to find books on mindfulness, yoga and meditation. These are a few ways to help students manage their emotions that can be taught online or in person. While children learn from home, it’s our responsibility to teach them how to care for themselves. This can be done introspectively, but also by caring for their environment and connecting with nature. One of the stories, Florette, is about how even in an urban area, the character finds ways to give more room to nature. Her efforts build up the community and remind us how magical the natural world is.
